On the bench with this kit

The two solar panels in this box power the car and the standing fan. Point the fan at a sunny window and it starts turning without any battery at all, which is usually the moment a younger builder decides that science is real. The wind car and the wooden plane round out the set with propeller drive.

Two details make this box friendly for first-time builders: the magnetized screwdriver that holds each screw while it finds its hole, and the step-by-step booklet with one drawing per stage. The blue plastic wheels and blades also make the finished fleet easy to spot on a shelf.

What builders get

  • Two solar panels drive a racing car and a standing desk fan
  • Wind-powered car and wooden plane complete the four-model fleet
  • Magnetized screwdriver included for small hands and small screws
  • Booklet shows one clear drawing per assembly step
  • Bright blue wheels and blades make finished models easy to tell apart
